WEST COAST STORIES is a collaborative exhibition between CHA CHA art collective and Seventh & Grand Salon + Spa exploring the layered identity of California’s coastal culture.

This exhibition presents interpretations of the West Coast—where ocean meets desert, surf meets street, and heritage meets reinvention. The work draws from the visual language of California: coastal landscapes, equestrian and ranch influences, vintage automotive culture, skate and surf ethos, and the quiet iconography of poppies and open land.

A range of practices are presented, from contemporary and fine art to thoughtfully executed lowbrow and pop surrealism.

The artwork curated for this project demonstrates a strong point of view, material awareness, and a willingness to push beyond convention while remaining rooted in the spirit of the California coast.
